I don't know about you, but I've noticed that in this life you're going to be thrown some curveballs. Meaning, things may not always go the way you planned them to. Many unforeseen things that come our way can sometimes "catch us off guard." Jesus, in John 16:33 says, "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."
In Joshua 1:9 God encouraged Joshua to be strong because He was with him. And in Ephesians 6:10, Apostle Paul encourages the Church of Ephesus to "Be strong in The Lord and in His Mighty Power." God being All Knowing, knows we are going to encounter many challenges and trials in life. So what do we do when they come? How do we "overcome"?
Apostle Paul states in Roman's 8:37 "...we are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus." How do we become conquerors? What did Jesus do? He looked to the Father and put His trust in Him. We as believers not only can do what Jesus did, but we have the assurance of overcoming because of Jesus. Because of His sacrificial life and death, He overcame death, hell, and the grave. Through the power of God, Jesus through suffering, gained the victory that nullified the full effect of darkness. This same victory gave Him the Authority to grant all of God's children this rite of passage. So, know that there is no circumstance that can over take us. But we must know this truth and walk in it, knowing we will overcome.
May this Truth enlighten you through times of difficulty, and allow it to work in you an inner resolve to sustain you. Because of who you are and whose you are, you can and will become more than conquerors through Christ Jesus.
